Mark is The Pride Of Churchill Retirement Living

Churchill Retirement Living Site Manager, Mark Bryant, has been named as one of the UK’s best Site Managers in this year’s prestigious NHBC Pride in the Job Awards.

Mark has been recognised by the NHBC (National House-Building Council) for his work at Churchill Retirement Living’s Bognor Regis development, Gerard Lodge in Upper Bognor Road.

"We are delighted that Mark has been chosen to win an NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award,” commented Spencer McCarthy, Chairman and Group Managing Director for Churchill Retirement Living. "He is a very capable, professional and dedicated manager of our construction team and to be selected as a Pride in the Job Quality Award winner on his first site as Manager is an exceptional achievement.”

NHBC is the standard setting body and leading warranty provider for new and newly converted homes in the UK. Recognised as the Oscars of the house-building industry, Pride in the Job is the only competition to focus on the Site Manager’s contribution in producing high quality, beautifully finished new homes.

Pride in the Job (PIJ) has been rewarding site managers with excellent standards on site for 28 years and Mark has been hand-picked from more than 18,000 contenders across the UK to win just one of 400 Quality awards.

Churchill Retirement Living has a history of producing Pride in the Job winning site managers and this is the fourth consecutive year that its staff have won awards in the first stage of the competition.

To become a Pride in the Job winner involves a great deal of commitment and hard work. Judging is based on 38 different elements of site management, from technical knowledge, consistency in the build process to excellent leadership and organisational skills. Only site managers who demonstrate the highest standards in each of these areas receive an Award.

Mark was presented with his award at a special Pride in the Job Regional Award lunch at the Sofitel Heathrow Terminal 5 Hotel.

Gerard Lodge features a selection of one and two-bedroom self-contained retirement apartments, all of which benefit from a video-entry system, a 24-hour emergency telephone system, and a Lodge Manager. Communal facilities include an Owners’ Lounge and Guest Suite, and landscaped gardens. Conveniently placed for all of Bognor Regis’s amenities, the development is on a level walk to the local shops and services.
