Cavendish Lodge Is Officially 'On The Map'

The attractive, purpose built retirement development of 38 one and two bedroom apartments was officially unveiled by the MP for Glastonbury, the Rt Hon David Heathcoat- Amory. He was delighted to also be able to greet friends and make the acquaintance of many Owners at the development during the occasion.

“We are very pleased that Mr Heathcoat-Amory was able to meet so many of our Owners at Cavendish Lodge and also to take a tour of the development,” said Spencer McCarthy, Chairman and Group Managing Director of Churchill Retirement Living. “As the local MP he is naturally a great supporter of the local community so we are very pleased that he has been able to see for himself the positive contribution that Cavendish Lodge is making to the locality.”

“Society as we once knew it, is changing, people no longer remain in the same occupation, or live in the same house all of their lives, as they or their families once did,” said Mr Heathcoat-Amory. “Therefore it is good that developments such as Cavendish lodge are being built to ensure that people can live happily and safely in pleasant surroundings, still be independent, but at the same time have help at hand if it be required.” “It was a very successful launch,” concluded Spencer McCarthy. “We are most grateful to Mr Heathcoat-Amory, for taking time out of his busy schedule and officiating at the opening of Cavendish Lodge.”

Cavendish Lodge features a selection of one and two-bedroom self-contained retirement apartments, with a video-entry system, a 24 hour emergency telephone system, and a Lodge Manager. Communal facilities include an Owners’ Lounge and Guest Suite, a laundry room and landscaped gardens. Conveniently placed for all of the local area’s amenities, the development is on a level walk to all of Glastonbury’s local shops and services. Churchill Retirement Living developments can be found in carefully selected locations in the UK, all offering a good range of local amenities and shopping, together with independence, security and 24-hour support and help when required.
