Churchill Retirement Living is committed to supporting charitable causes within the local communities in which we work and in which we build our retirement living developments.
The company's active and wide ranging donations include sponsorship, fundraising through Companies we work with and charity events. Many employees contribute their own time and effort together with the company’s financial support to help much needed causes.
Our special relationship with Macmillan Cancer Support
Churchill Retirement Living has a special relationship with Macmillan Cancer Support. Through our Les Spicer Memorial Appeal, established in memory of one of our colleagues, the Company has pledged to raise £60,000 from June 2011 to May 2012. Macmillan Cancer Support will use the money to help towards improving the lives of people affected by cancer by providing practical, medical and financial support. Since the beginning of June 2011 Churchill Retirement Living has already raised over £30,000. This has been made up of numerous events and activities that have taken place across our retirement developments in the UK and throughout our regional offices and Head Office, based in Ringwood.

Firework display helps Ringwood Carnival to go with a bang thanks to Churchill Retirement Living!
The Ringwood Carnival in September 2009 sure went off with a bang when it was announced that Churchill Retirement Living was sponsoring the 'end of the evening firework display'.
Howard Cox, Chairman of the Ringwood Carnival Committee, added: "We are thrilled with Churchill Retirement Living's involvement and their very generous sponsorship of the firework display. What makes Ringwood a special place is some of the fantastic events we put on for everyone, but we can't do any of it without the help and support from companies like Churchill Retirement Living." A cheque for £1,000 for the sponsorship was handed over by Dean Marlow,Churchill's Finance Director to Howard and Charlotte Benson, this year's carnival queen.
Camels come to Ringwood
Camels showed just as much pulling power as reindeer when hundreds of people turned out for Ringwood's annual Christmas parade through the Town Centre.
Standing in for Rudolph the camels proved to be a star attraction for the crowds who gathered in the Furlong Shopping Centre on Friday 5th December.
A cheque for £500 was generously donated towards the 'Camel Parade' and was passed to Barbara Woodifield, President of Ringwood Chamber of Trade & Commerce.

Season's Greetings from Churchill Retirement Living
It was decided instead of sending out Christmas Cards Churchill Retirement Living would donate £1,000 to a local charity.
The chosen charity was the Lewis-Manning Hospice, which provides a local Lymphoedema clinic in Poole, Dorset, which is where one of our employees, Averil Allen was attending.
"I cannot praise the Lymphoedema Sisters enough for their support, kind care and attention that I have received from them. I am sure all other patients that have received treatment from them, would say the same." said Averil
Spencer McCarthy, Churchill's Chairman & Group Managing Director and Averil handed over the cheque to Tania Wynne-Edwards, Senior Sister from the Lymphoedema Clinic at Churchill Lodge, Lilliput on 30th January 2008.
New Milton Rugby Festival 2007 »
Churchill Retirement Living was a sponsor in the New Milton Rugby Festival. It was held on the 2nd October 2007 and over 500 children took part. The New Milton Rugby Festival is an annual event at the club. The £200 sponsorship went towards the New Milton Mini's Section.
Seven members from the South East Region joined in fundraising activities for Cancer Research on the 22nd July 2007 by running in the Kempton Park Race for Life in Sunbury.
They raised over £1,500 for the charity and were very delighted to get involved in helping a great cause.
It was hard work but they had a great day.
Milford on Sea Scout Donation »
A kind donation of £500 was given towards the youth club facility in Milford on Sea in June 2006. The money went to great use to get the project started and is a great way for Churchill Retirement Living to 'put something back' into the local community of the South West Region.
Bisterne United Football Club Goal Posts »
Churchill Retirement Living donated £800 to the Bisterne United Football Club. The money was put towards the purchase of a new set of goal posts for their new session in 2007.
A group of Colleagues from the South East region joined in to help raise money for Sports Relief 2006 by completing a one mile run.
A massive 423,000 people across the UK gathered in Central London in July 2006 for this worthy cause.
The seven members from Churchill Retirement Living helped raise over £1,000 for the worthwhile cause.
Sport Relief is a fundraising initiative brought to you by Comic Relief. All the money raised is spent by Comic Relief to help vulnerable people living incedibly tough lives both in the UK and across the world's poorest countries.
