Battle of Britain 70th anniversary garden parties!
This summer to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, Churchill Retirement Living will be holding 1940s themed garden parties at many of our developments across the country and would like to extend an invitation for you to join us.The Battle of Britain was one of the first air campaigns waged by the German Air Force against the UK during the summer and autumn of 1940 and is considered a crucial turning point in the war.
The garden parties will be a commemoration of this significant event, with live wartime songs and music and the opportunity to sing-along to some of the most memorable tunes from this time. We will also be joined by our current Owners, the Lodge Manager and our Sales Consultants, so you can meet and chat with some of the people who are already enjoying their retirement with us.
So come along and join us between 2 - 4pm for a glass of Pimms and summer fruits at these developments:

1940s Wartime Entertainer Jill Daniels
We are delighted to be joined by World War II and 1940s singer and entertainer, Jill Daniels, at many of our Battle of Britain 70th anniversary garden parties. Jill will be performing her renowned wartime 1940s show "Hitz of the Blitz” singing World War II hits and anthems including the popular Land of Hope and Glory, White Cliffs of Dover and We’ll Meet Again. Jill Daniels started her singing career in the late 1970s and is now known nationally and internationally as Britain’s No 1 singer of World War II songs and patriotic anthems, performing at the VE Day 50th Anniversary Celebrations, the Millennium Celebrations and the Queen’s Jubilee Celebrations.
We do hope that you will be able to join us at these garden parties, which promise to be very enjoyable!
