About the role
We are recruiting for a commercially astute Land Manager / Senior Land Buyer to support our business’ growth covering the Essex and surrounding areas. Our regional office is based in St Albans and you will meet together as a Land team on a weekly basis (when it is safe to do so).
You will work alongside and support our land team to investigate and appraise all possible sites for development throughout the Region including areas such as Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
As a Land Manager/ Senior Land Buyer, you’ll be working closely with our Land Team as well our planning, construction and design teams on a day to day basis. The role is fast moving and sociable; you’ll liaise with Local Authorities, Estate Agents and Land Owners on a day to day basis. You’ll be required to make a minimum number of recommendations to purchase land in line with the Regional Land objectives.

Your duties will include finding new sites for the company to purchase, negotiating the purchase of them and undertaking detailed reviews of settlements.
Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 9.00am - 5.30pm and 9.00am – 5.00pm on Friday.
You’ll have previous Land Buying experience within the property sector, preferably gained with a New Build developer.
You will have the ability to influence decisions using appropriate methods and facts and proven negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
You will be analytical, a driven individual with a hunger for success, will enjoy meeting targets, overcoming challenges and supporting your team.
It’s essential that you’re a competent driver with a valid UK driver’s license as you’ll be spending a large proportion of your time out of the office.
