About the role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, highly skilled Maintenance Technician which we refer to as Customer Service Technician in our business to work across our developments in the Tonbridge, Sevenoaks and surrounding areas.
This role would be best suited to an individual that resides within the area due to travel required in the outskirts of South London & Kent Area.
As a Customer Service Technician, you will be expected to provide professional services to our owners, working as part of a skilled team that upholds the 2 year poor workmanship and defect warranty from occupation with every new purchased Retirement Apartment. Typical tasks to be undertaken are painting and decorating, addressing cracking/shrinkage, basic plumbing, identifying leaks, basic carpentry such as hanging of doors and trimming to size and sealing floors/bathroom/kitchen sinks etc (mastic) after repair.
Due to the travel requirement of the role, you will be predominately based at our Lodges, and will be provided with a Van in order to visit the Lodges within the region in need of assistance. You may occasionally be required to stay away from home.
You will also be provided with a mobile phone and a hand held tablet to assist you with your daily tasks.
Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 9.00am to 5.30pm and Fridays 9am – 5pm.
Due to the varied nature of the job, it is essential that you have knowledge and experience in carpentry, plumbing, decorating and ideally hold a basic electrical qualification but not essential. Previous experience in housebuilding would be advantageous.
It is essential that you hold a valid UK Driver’s License and are ideally either educated with a technical qualification in building, such as City & Guilds or qualified by experience. You can demonstrate professional customer service skills and communicate with our owners with respect and diplomacy, taking pride in your work ensuring your working environment is organised and tidy at all time
