About the role

We are looking for an Area Manager within the Devon and Cornwall area to oversee a number of completed retirement housing developments, ensuring we deliver exceptional customer services and achieve targeted profitability.

You will provide a first class, cost effective management service that meets our customer’s expectations.

You will undertake regular visits within your region and develop customer relationships with external landlords and residents.

You will be confident with numbers, as your duties will involve controlling expenditure, producing budgets and accounts for presentation to the lessees and negotiating with contractors and overseeing their performance.

You will support your team’s professional development by encouraging both individual and team development, carry out regular performance reviews ensuring that individuals understand and share the company values and provide services of a consistently high standard.

The role is based from home with extensive travel across the Devon and Cornwall region.

The hours of work are 9.00am – 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday and 9.00am – 5.00pm on Fridays.

About you

Ideally, you must hold a recognised property management qualification and be a member of RICS or IRPM with proven experience as a Manager in the leasehold property management industry.

You will be confident and friendly and possess good communication skills.
You must be self-motivated, able to handle conflict, problem solve and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You must demonstrate excellent IT skills, be extremely well organised, manage a number of tasks simultaneously, flexible and willing to take on new responsibilities.

It is important that you have a good working knowledge of leasehold property management and building structures, in order to resolve any building defects and arrange contractors when necessary.

To carry out this essential role, you will require a full UK Driving Licence.
