About the role

We’re looking for a Drainage Engineer to produce foul and surface water drainage designs for all CRL developments and to provide support during the construction period as required. The role will also involve a degree of civil and structural engineering.

You will also provide pre-construction support and advice to the regional technical and design teams, the Pre-Contracts Manager and regional Land Buyers. You will be assisting with issues such as drainage diversions, off site drainage solutions and information required to discharge planning conditions.

Periodically you will provide support to the Group Structural Engineering department with foundation and above ground structural designs and generally provide civils engineering design services to the regions e.g., Crossover/S278 designs. 

Our Engineers enjoy being involved in all design aspects of our projects, taking their projects from planning through to construction completion, with autonomy and responsibility for developing their own design ideas and concepts, whilst being supported by an experienced team of Engineers. 

The majority of the time will be spent in the office but there will be the need to undertake site visits. 

Hours of work are 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 5.00pm on Friday with one hour for lunch each day. The engineer is expected to be flexible in keeping with the responsibilities of the position which may include working additional unpaid hours at busy times.

About you

You will have proven experience with good technical knowledge and have strong communication skills.

You must be able to demonstrate good time management and organisation skills with the ability to work on your own initiative.

You should be degree qualified or equivalent, ideally with ICE membership.
