About the role

We’re looking for an Estimator to join our Commercial team based at our regional office in Bromsgrove.

You will help to create a full construction budget for the regions to report against. You will need to accurately produce costing schedules on the available software and upload onto the budgeting software COINS.

You will work as part of a team to review draft budgets and to make any necessary changes to the Budget document when required.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of key internal stakeholders from Construction, Land and Design through to the Regional Managing Director.  

The hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 9am – 5.30pm and Fridays 9am – 5pm with one hour for lunch. You will be required to visit sites when required therefore you must be willing to travel and hold a valid UK Driving Licence.

About you

You must have a background in Construction, preferably in residential development with a HNC or HND qualification.

It goes without saying that you’ll be comfortable understanding architect drawings, specification documents and the relevant terminology.

It’s important that you’re willing to measure from drawings, to prepare bills of quantities and other standard surveying techniques and will need to do so with high attention to detail and a great degree of accuracy. You should be comfortable working independently and collaboratively and have the ability to prioritise.

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Excel, Word, CAD and COINS.
