About the role

We’re looking for an experienced IT Field Technician to provide 1st and 2nd level technical support to all users of ICT within all regional offices, remote offices and construction and sales sites under the direction of the IT Service Desk Supervisor and in accordance with our ICT policies, procedures and standards.

The key requirements of the role are to resolve IT incidents and service requests across the business, monitor the performance of IT services within the regional and remote locations, as well as planning and performing IT equipment set up and installation at sites.

Primary responsibilities will be to configure device operating systems for equipment set up and installation at sites and provide 1st and 2nd level support to IT users by troubleshooting and applying problem solving skills in the resolution of reported incidents and service requests for both hardware and software as well as connectivity issues. You will also support basic IT infrastructure and networking.

Based at the Churchill Retirement Living (CRL) Midlands Regional Office in Bromsgrove, there will be requirements to travel to CRL’s other Regional Offices and development sites within the UK, which will require a full UK driving license. 

Hours of work are 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 5.00pm on Friday with one hour for lunch each day however, you will be expected to be flexible in keeping with the responsibilities of the position which may include working additional hours when necessary. The role also requires you to provide out of hours support during evenings and weekends on a rota basis with other members of the IT team.

About you

We would like you to have experience in a 1st and 2nd line support role and be qualified to GCSE level or equivalent, ITIL qualified with strong knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft products and good knowledge of IT processes and standards. Knowledge of Microsoft / Office 365 is ideal.

Applicants will need to be organised and methodical with logical thinking, be helpful with a strong customer service ethic and be good at problem solving.
