About the role
We are recruiting for a commercially astute Land Buyers to support our business’ growth without South West tea. You will specifically be looking at the Hampshire region.
You will work alongside our land team to investigate and appraise all possible sites for development within the region.
As Land Buyer, you’ll be working closely with the Land Director, Land Manager and wider team as well our planning, construction and design teams on a day to day basis. The role is fast moving and sociable; you’ll liaise with Local Authorities, Estate Agents and Land Owners on a day to day basis.You’ll be required to make a minimum number of recommendations to purchase land in line with the Regional Land objectives.
Excitingly, you’ll have the opportunity to help the company grow through the acquisition of new sites. You’ll see your efforts rewarded with successful planning applications and customers who love their independent, safe and secure home - knowing you’ve had a part to play in this.
Your duties will include finding new sites for the company to purchase, negotiating the purchase of them and undertaking detailed reviews of settlements.
Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.30pm and 9am to 5pm on Friday. Please note that overtime may be required during peak times.
About you
You’ll have previous Land Buying experience within the property sector, the ability to influence decisions using appropriate methods and facts and proven negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
You will be analytical, a driven individual with a hunger for success, will enjoy meeting targets and overcoming challenges.
It’s essential that you’re a competent driver as you’ll be spending a large proportion of your time out of the office.
