An exciting, unique, one-of-a-kind opportunity for an Events professional!
We are Churchill Retirement Living, the fastest growing company in the UK retirement house-building sector and we’re looking for people like you.
We’re a family run, privately owned business and we’re going places. We’re proud of what we do, and the people we work with. We have ambitious growth plans for the future, now employing 600 people and growing all the time.
We pride ourselves on building beautiful, quality, purpose-built one and two bedroom apartments in desirable locations across the UK for those looking for an independent lifestyle in later life. Developments are designed to take away all the hassle, fears that can be experienced by older people, and provide security, peace of mind and independence.
We’ve won a host of awards; most recently we have been recognised by The Sunday Times as the 3rd best company to work for and in 2016 we became the first ever retirement living specialist to have been named overall ‘Housebuilder of the Year’ by the WhatHouse? Awards.
Our Values: TORCH – Trust / Openness / Respect / Communication / Honesty
About the role
This unique and exciting opportunity will see you identifying and creating a series of social and educational events that will appeal to our prospective purchasers.
The events will need to reflect activities that are attractive and of interest to our customer demographic, whilst remaining within the budgetary constraints agreed for the activity.
You will be responsible for researching the type of events, in addition to organising and attending a number of them. Some events we may role out nationally, whilst others maybe seasonal or of local interest. This is for you to research and put forward your proposals to our Head of Group Marketing.
You will coordinate the budgets for each event and be mindful of the resource requirements. The goal of our events programme is to bring to reality the lifestyle a new Owner can expect by moving into a Churchill development.
Lastly but by no means least you will monitor the success of each event, understanding from the Sales department the direct results our events programme is making.
We are looking for a motivated, proactive, and innovative Events professional with extensive experience organising social and promotional events.
The successful Lifestyle & Events Manager will have a background organising events directly for the public, rather than commercial businesses and fully appreciate the need to appeal to your audience. Your background may include working within events management, hospitality, leisure, or entertainment industries for example.
You will have superb communication skills with the natural ability to entertain whilst being able to command the attention of your audience. You will be able to adapt your style with ease and use your exuberant approach without losing the details or impact.
We are also looking for someone with excellent organisational and planning skills who will look at the short-, medium- and long-term event strategy.
How you will be rewarded

- Company Car or Car Allowance options
- Annual holiday entitlement of 25 days, plus Bank Holidays
