About the role 

We are looking for a Planning Associate to be based at our Head Office in Ringwood. 

You will be an integral part of the team and self motivated  and enjoy reviewing sites and assessing planning opportunities.  You will be required to prepare, submit and manage planning applications, and deliver approvals for the regions growth plans. 

You will assess new sites for development potential and checking planning constraints with local authorities and provide planning appraisals to land teams. 

Communication skills are vital to this role, as you will liaise with various internal and external teams such as local authorities, housing associations, statutory undertakers, land owners, solicitors, barristers, external consultants, parish/town councils, resident groups. 

The hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 9am – 5.30pm and Fridays 9am – 5pm.  Please be aware that the position often requires work to be done outside of normal working hours and this will be expected where necessary.

About you 

You will be a person that enjoys problem solving, supporting others, work with little errors and enjoy seeing your work through to completion. 

You will be a clear communicator with excellent verbal and written skills, confident to negotiate regarding issues, and able to work well on your own initiative.

It is vital that you have either obtained or working towards a Membership of RTPI and would be even better if you have a qualification in Planning.

You must have worked in Planning and be able to demonstrate experience in planning policy and development planning.
