Quality Inspector - Bedford
We are Churchill Retirement Living, the fastest growing company in the UK retirement housing sector and we’re looking for people like you.
We’re a family-run, privately-owned business and we’re going places. We’re proud of what we do and the people we work with. We have ambitious plans for the future, now employing over 600 people.
We pride ourselves on building beautiful, quality and purpose-built one and two bedroom apartments in desirable locations across the UK for those looking for an independent lifestyle in later life. Our developments are designed to take away all the hassle and fears that can be experienced by older people and provide security, peace of mind and independence.
We’ve won a host of awards; including becoming the first ever retirement living specialist to have been named overall ‘Housebuilder of the Year’ by the WhatHouse? Awards. We have also maintained our 5* HBF Customer Satisfaction Rating for many years.
About the role
We’re looking for a Quality Inspector, based within the Bedford area to inspect our local Retirement Developments prior to sale.
You will coordinate inspections of our newly constructed apartments to ensure that the finish quality of our apartments remains high. You will manage your own diary to ensure that all sites are prioritised and managed effectively.
This will also reduce the need for any future maintenance after the customer’s purchase.
Communication within this role is vital; you will liaise with internal teams to provide feedback on any snagging and construction issues and foreseeing maintenance problems that could occur for owners.
This role will include extensive travel including some nights away from home. You will work on various sites, therefore not office based. The hours of work are between 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 5.00pm on Fridays.
We’d love to hear from you if you have strong diplomacy skills, excellent communication skills, pride yourself on attention to detail, and fancy new challenge, then this could be the job for you.
You will be sympathetic to customers and their expectations when purchasing one of our apartments, so you will need to have good customer service skills.
You will be provided with a handheld computer tablet to enable you to have all the information at your fingertips, therefore you will need to have IT skills. You will also be provided with a company car; so you will need to have a valid Driving License.
