About us

We are Churchill Retirement Living, the fastest growing company in the UK retirement house building sector, and we have an exciting opportunity available to join our expanding HR team.

We’re a family-owned business and we’re going places. We’re proud of what we do, and the people we work with. We have ambitious growth plans for the future, now employing over 600 people and growing all the time.

We pride ourselves on building beautiful, quality, purpose-built one and two bedroom apartments in desirable locations across the UK for those looking for an independent lifestyle in later life. Developments are designed to take away all the hassle and fears that can be experienced by older people and provide security, peace of mind and independence.

We’ve won a host of awards; most recently we have been recognised by The Sunday Times as the 3rd Best Company to Work for in the UK and became the first ever retirement living specialist to be crowned overall ‘Housebuilder of the Year’ by the WhatHouse? Awards 2016.

About the role

We’re looking for a diligent Quality Inspector, to join our expending team who has high standards and will inspect our Retirement Developments, prior to sale.

You will coordinate inspections of our newly constructed apartments to ensure that the finish quality of our apartments remains high. You will manage your own diary to ensure that all sites are prioritised and managed effectively.

This will also reduce the need for any future maintenance after the customer’s purchase.

Communication within this role is vital; you will liaise with internal teams to provide feedback on any snagging and construction issues and foreseeing maintenance problems that could occur for owners.

This vital role will see you working across various Churchill sites and by its nature requires extensive travel.

The hours of work are between 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 5.00pm on Fridays.

About you

This is the perfect opportunity for someone with a construction or property background to make a real difference and ensure we maintain our exemplary standards. You might have worked as an Assistant Site Manager, Finishing Foreman or something similar over the years.

We’d love to hear from you if you have strong diplomacy skills, excellent communication skills, pride yourself on attention to detail, and fancy new challenge, then this could be the job for you.

You will be sympathetic to customers and their expectations when purchasing one of our apartments, so you will need to have good customer service skills.

You will be provided with a handheld computer tablet to enable you to have all the information at your fingertips, therefore you will need to have confident IT skills.

A valid UK Driving License is also essential for this opportunity.

How you’ll be rewarded

  • Competitive salary
  • Annual holiday entitlement of 24 days + Bank Holidays
  • Day off on your birthday
  • Excellent Colleague benefits including:
    • Group Personal Pension Plan
    • Life Assurance
    • Private Medical
