Churchill donates toys to disadvantaged children this Christmas

Churchill Retirement Living is extending its thanks to its staff, owners and customers after its Christmas charity campaign collected more than 450 toys for local children in need, double the amount it donated last year.

The retirement housebuilder called on its staff, owners and customers to buy an extra gift while out Christmas shopping and drop it in to donation stations located at its Lodges and offices.

All of the toys were then collected and donated to Wave 105 FM’s Mission Christmas Cash for Kids appeal in time for Christmas. In total, 482 toys were donated for children of all ages.

Spencer McCarthy, Regional Managing Director at Churchill Retirement Living, comments:

“Churchill Retirement Living is committed to working closely with the local community and we are delighted with the response we have seen to the Mission Christmas Appeal, which we’re delighted to support. The toys collected will make such a difference to disadvantaged children who are most in need this Christmas and we would like to thank everyone who donated for their generosity.”

Wave 105’s Mission Christmas Cash for Kids was set up to help disadvantaged young people under the age of 18 across the region. To find out more about the appeal, click here.
