The first housebuilder to achieve “Keep Me Posted” Mark of Distinction

Churchill Retirement Living and its management company Millstream Management Services have been awarded a ‘Mark of Distinction’ by Keep Me Posted, recognising their commitment to providing Customers with paper copies of all bills and correspondence.

Churchill is the first housebuilder to be awarded the ‘Best Practice’ Mark of Distinction. The retirement specialist and its management arm have over 8,500 customers and apartment Owners across the UK who will see their right to receive paper bills and correspondence, without charge or penalty, protected. Churchill’s charitable arm – the Churchill Foundation – will also become an official Partner of the campaign.

The Keep Me Posted campaign calls on organisations including banks, councils, utility companies and telecoms providers, to give their customers a choice in how they are communicated with. The ‘Best Practice’ Mark of Distinction means customers can instantly recognise when a business has made a commitment to providing its customers with paper bills and statements.

On being presented with the Mark of Distinction certificate at Churchill’s new Heath Lodge development in Pinner, Churchill’s Brand Ambassador Dame Esther Rantzen DBE said:

“I am very proud to see Churchill receive this Mark of Distinction. The Silver Line, the free confidential helpline for older people which I founded in 2012, is also a supporter of the Keep Me Posted campaign. Churchill’s commitment to the campaign shows how well they understand their Customers. While many older people are happy to embrace technology, it’s important to give people a choice about how they are communicated with, and Churchill clearly recognise that.”

Churchill’s Chairman & CEO Spencer McCarthy added:

“At Churchill we always look to provide the best possible experience for our Customers, so they can enjoy their retirement to the full in a brand apartment that suits their independence. We’re committed to giving Customers choice over how they are communicated with, since many choose to remain in touch via paper rather than online. That’s why we’ve signed up to the Keep Me Posted campaign, as part of our ongoing commitment to our Customers.”

Judith Donovan CBE, Chair of the Keep Me Posted campaign, said:

“I am delighted to award Churchill Retirement Living and Millstream Management Services with the ‘Mark of Distinction’. These companies have made a clear commitment to communicating with their customers in a way that suits them best. They can now proudly display the Keep Me Posted mark as an indicator to consumers that their right to receive paper correspondence is protected.”
