Colebrooke Lodge’s first new Owner looks forward to being at the heart of a new community

As the first new Owner to move into Churchill Retirement Living’s new Colebrooke Lodge development in Reigate, Arthur Lambert has been making the most of lockdown to keep in shape and get to know Lodge Manager Andrew and Sales Executive Sally. Now as lockdown restrictions start to lift he and the team are all looking forward to welcoming more new apartment Owners to build a thriving community at the Lodge.

“Arthur is 96 and he is amazing,” says Sales Executive Sally. “He only stopped working at 90. Now since his move he’s been keeping up his exercise regime with a walk around the ground floor communal area twice a day, and also venturing out into the garden now the weather is improving. He’s like our very own Captain Tom!”

Sally adds: “The restrictions have allowed us to meet up once a week for socially distanced afternoon tea, so we have been keeping Arthur safe and in high spirits in these challenging times.”

Churchill’s Regional Marketing Manager Anne Scherrer says: “With like-minded neighbours, safety and security, and no more worries about maintenance, a Churchill apartment can help you leave behind loneliness and isolation, and instead look forward to a new lifestyle. Like Arthur, you can still be fully independent, but with friendship and support on hand whenever you might need it.

“If you are using this time to consider a fresh start, Churchill developments like Colebrooke Lodge are still open for viewings, by appointment only. A range of measures are in place to follow all the latest Government guidelines and keep everyone safe during your visit, so you can come and meet the team and see for yourself what’s on offer.”

Colebrooke Lodge is ideally situated on Prices Lane, within easy walking distance of the local shops including a Co-Op, Butchers, Bakers and Chemist, and just a short bus ride from the many amenities of Reigate’s town centre. The Lodge comprises 31 private, self-contained apartments with spacious rooms throughout, considerately designed with the over 60s in mind, and a warm, comfortable Owners’ Lounge
