It was a pleasure to welcome Industry Minister Lee Rowley MP and Mayor of Warrington Jean Flaherty to cut the ribbon at the official opening of our new Northern Regional Office in Warrington on Thursday 9th June.
Our new Northern Team is growing fast, and our plans for the region will generate £330m of new investment and around 200 new jobs over the coming years, both directly and through the wider supply chain.
Hosted by our Chairman & CEO Spencer McCarthy, the event at Olympic Way Business Park in Birchwood was attended by several prominent local figures, including the Growth Director of Cheshire & Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership John Adlen, and Chief Executive of Warrington Chamber of Commerce Stephen Fitzsimons. We were also delighted to welcome a number of our suppliers from the local area.
Our Regional Managing Director Adam Mooij has ambitious plans to grow his team and spearhead Churchill’s expansion into the North of England. The new office and team expansion supports Churchill’s wider “Growth Drive ’25” plan, a strategy to more than double unit sales by 2025. To achieve this the Company is looking to invest significantly in new sites over the coming years, and the newly established Northern Region will play a key part in this.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was followed by a visit to Churchill’s nearby St John’s Lodge development in Timperley, where the Minister enjoyed afternoon tea and an opportunity to meet people who are already experiencing the benefits of the retirement living lifestyle.

Regional Managing Director Adam Mooij added:
“We believe there is significant pent-up demand for more specialist retirement housing in the North of England, which gives us confidence for our ambitious growth strategy in the region. Our new Warrington office currently directly employs 17 people – including a Graduate Land Buyer and Apprentice Architect – and we will continue to invest in more people as we grow in size across the region. On average, every new development we build will employ around 85 people during the construction phase, as well as creating up to 6 permanent new jobs for local people.”
