Knights Lodge owners raise over £200 for Macmillan ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ campaign

Churchill’s Knights Lodge development in Lymington invited people to enjoy coffee, cake and friendly company to raise £206 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The event was part of the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning campaign, with visitors treated to coffee, delicious cakes and biscuits in the Lodge’s comfy Owners’ Lounge, plus Churchill donated £5 to Macmillan for every visitor who attended.

Churchill Retirement Living has a special relationship with Macmillan Cancer Support and raised over £57,000 with this year’s campaign, meaning the company has now raised over £600,000 for the charity since 2009.

Senior Regional Marketing Manager Caroline Haswell said: “We were delighted to once again be able to invite people to Knights Lodge in person for our Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. These events are not only a fantastic way to raise money for a very worthwhile cause, but also an opportunity to get the local community together and create new friendships and connections after a difficult 18 months.

“Our Lodges offer a sense of community and companionship, and these events are an ideal opportunity for visitors to also experience the lifestyle on offer with Churchill. Many of our Owners regularly take advantage of the communal facilities on offer, including our Owners’ Lounges where we can now once again hold regular coffee mornings and fun social events like these. We’re proud to help support this amazing charity.”
