Churchill Retirement Living is inviting locals to join Owners and friends at its Perran Lodge development in Newquay for a St Piran’s Day lunch on Thursday 5th March. Visitors to the Lodge, located on Narrowcliff, will be treated to a Cornish pasty and a glass of Cornish cider in the warm, friendly Owners' Lounge, by way of preparation for the St Piran's Day parade taking place in Newquay later that afternoon. The lunch event at the Lodge will take place between 12:30pm and 2pm, finishing in plenty of time for a walk to the parade in town at 4pm.
Perran Lodge is a retirement development of 48 one and two bedroom apartments specially designed for the over 60s, and its name is of course derived from that of the Cornish Patron Saints of tin-miners.
Jo Ridehalgh, Churchill's Regional Marketing Executive, said: "We're really looking forward to welcoming people to celebrate St Piran's Day with us and help fortify themselves for the big parade. It's the perfect opportunity for local people to come and enjoy a pasty and a pint of Cornish cider on us and see all that Perran Lodge has to offer. The low maintenance apartments at the Lodge have been designed to make life easier and more enjoyable in retirement years and offer security, peace of mind and a friendly new community for our Owners. Joining in with fun events like this is what the retirement living lifestyle is all about!"
