Town mayor councillor Helen Kane joined Churchill Retirement Living to officially open King Harold Lodge in Waltham Abbey last week, where over 60% of the apartments have already been sold.
Many visitors attended the special event at the Lodge on Broomstick Hall Road, which comprises 28 one and two bedroom private, self-contained apartments specially designed for retired Owners.
Potential purchasers were given the opportunity to visit the sales centre and view the show apartments while being treated to sparkling wine and nibbles to celebrate the occasion.
Yvette Christy, Regional Marketing Executive at Churchill Retirement Living, said: “We are thrilled to have officially opened King Harold Lodge in the wonderful market town of Waltham Abbey. The Lodge has been very well received in the town and to have already sold 60% of the apartments shows the desire for this kind of purpose-built and privately-owned retirement accommodation in Waltham Abbey.”
King Harold Lodge is a stylish collection of one and two bedroom privately-owned retirement apartments. Each apartment has been designed exclusively for those in their retirement years and has a number of safety and security features, such as a 24 hour emergency call line and a video entry system, for complete peace of mind.
There is also an on-site Lodge Manager, who oversees the running of the development, and an Owners’ Lounge, which can be used as a place to enjoy a catch up with like-minded neighbours, or for holding events.
At King Harold Lodge, Owners have been keen to take advantage of the range of features designed to make later life easier; such as the Owners’ Lounge and Guest Suite as well as a Laundry Room. The development is set in landscaped grounds in a central location, just a short distance from public transport links, shops and all the local amenities on offer in Waltham Abbey.
The Show Complex is open daily from 10am to 5pm. For more information please call 01992 721 366 or click here.
