Stunning coastal area in the Vale means you can enjoy the best bits of Wales
Located on the southern tip of Wales, the Vale of Glamorgan is a stunning coastal county, boasting beautiful views and striking cliff faces. The cliffs were formed over 200 million years ago, meaning they now contain many traces of Jurassic sea creatures!
The county is just a short distance from Cardiff, where you'll find all of the modern amenities associated with any city. Whether it's shopping centres, places to eat or even sporting venues, you'll find it all in the capital.
In Glamorgan itself, affectionately known as simply, The Vale, you'll find sprawling countryside with a scattering of farms, villages and market towns. If you're looking for a relaxed, slower page of life, the Vale of Glamorgan is ideal.
The town of Barry is home to Barry Island Pleasure Park (which featured in the sitcom Gavin and Stacey) and the Barry Tourist Railway, as well as Cosmeston Medieval Village and St Donat's Castle.
Glamorgan is home to Churchill Retirement Living's first development in Wales and marks an expansion to new regions for the company.
