All apartments at Churchill Retirement Living are completely self-contained with their own front door, providing you with privacy and peace and quiet when you want it.

There is a choice of one and two bedroom apartments and they may all vary slightly when it comes to dimensions and position of rooms.

Kitchens are tiled with colour-coordinated worktops, and come fully fitted with a waist-height oven, hob, hood and fridge/freezer. This development also has a separate, communal laundry room for Owners to use.

Service charges explained…

We understand that the ongoing cost of running your new apartment is an important factor to consider when deciding to purchase a Churchill apartment. That’s why a full service charge budget analysis is available for each individual development. Owners are consulted on this annually, and we always aim to keep the cost as low as possible.

Living in Berkhamsted

Nestled in the Bulbourne Valley countryside and bordering the Chiltern Hills, Berkhamsted is a stone’s throw away from nearby Tring and Hemel Hempstead. The town is also only 40 minutes away from central London by train, which makes day trips into London simple.

  • Sheldon Lodge benefits from being close to both the River Bulbourne and Grand Union Canal, which run through the town.
  • Steeped in history, Berkhamsted is where Duke William of Normandy was offered his crown in 1066. It also has links to a number of other notable people including Geoffrey Chaucer and novelist Graham Greene, whose life and works are celebrated by a festival each year.

Local MP Gagan Mohindra called by at Churchill Retirement Living’s Sheldon Lodge in Berkhamsted on Friday 16th October to congratulate those supporting the Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ fundraising campaign. The Lodge held a small socially distanced coffee morning event for people living in the Lodge, raising an impressive total of over £680
