Formby is a beautiful coastal town which lies in the metropolitan borough of Sefton, in the county of Merseyside. Famous for many things including its beautiful beach, pine woods, sand dunes and golf clubs, it’s also home to native rare and endangered red squirrels and natterjack toads – known locally as ‘The Birkdale Nightingale’.

Since Victorian times, the town’s charm has attracted visitors to see the natural beauty and experience Formby’s unique micro climate which provides visitors and local residents with mild winters and warm summers.

Built on a large flat area of land, Formby is an ideal location for long walks to take in the delights of its sand dunes, pine woods, beach and renowned red squirrel coastal walk set in a beautiful area managed by the National Trust, designated a SSSI (Special Site of Scientific Interest).

The town centre – known locally as ‘the village’ - is just a short stroll away from Trinity Lodge and can be accessed either by a public footpath or our private footpath from the development leading directly to Halsall Lane adjacent to Marks and Spencer. The main high street has a wide variety of shops offering everything from butchers, bakers, banks, hairdressers, opticians and much more besides, alongside a wide selection of independent shops, boutiques and coffee shops. Two large supermarkets – Waitrose and Tesco – are also within easy reach of Trinity Lodge.

There are great road and rail links in Formby, which has two train stations. They give easy access to nearby Southport and Liverpool, as well as regular public bus services with stops conveniently located near the development and throughout the town.

For trips further afield, the nearest airport is Liverpool John Lennon Airport which is 25 miles away or Manchester Airport which is 43 miles away; both are well served by close motorway connections.

Close to this new development are various restaurants, a fish and chip shop and Formby Golf Club, making it in an ideal location for all the amenities you may need.

The Owners’ Lounge can be booked out for an event, which is ideal for birthdays , while we run a number of events in the Owners’ Lounge throughout the year.

Lodge Manager

Every single one of our developments has a Lodge Manager on-site who is on hand to help with all manner of different things. They look after the maintenance of the development and oversee any work being carried out, but they are a friendly point of contact when you want someone to talk to, as well as arranging events in the development throughout the year. They’re also available if you want to lock up and leave your apartment for a holiday, and will ensure everything is secure when you’re away.

Guest Suite

All of our developments have a Guest Suite provided for visiting relatives or friends. Reservations are arranged via the Lodge Manager and can be booked in advance. The Guest Suite is ideal if you want to have your loved ones close by during their visit.

A great deal of importance is placed on the communal grounds, providing a welcome retreat for you, your family and friends. Our retirement developments all have on-site parking available and are for our Owners.
