Standard features

All apartments at Churchill Retirement Living are completely self-contained with their own front door, providing you with privacy and peace and quiet when you want it. 

There is a choice of one and two bedroom apartments and they may all vary slightly when it comes to dimensions and position of rooms.

Kitchens are tiled with colour-coordinated worktops, and come fully fitted with a waist-height oven, hob, hood and fridge/freezer. All apartments also have integral washer/dryers fitted in all apartments as standard.

Our standards

A number of the master bedrooms have walk-in wardrobes, bedroom two is fitted with a mirror fronted wardrobe, as well as TV and telephone points, with even the smallest details considered.

The apartments come with tiled shower rooms as standard, while all two bedroom apartments have separate en-suites – all designed for ease of use and with the needs of our customers in mind.

All apartments are stringently inspected by our Customer Services department to ensure they are handed over to the standard of finish and quality expected by our customers.

Living in Cheam

Cheam is a large suburban village located in the London Borough of Sutton. Retirement homes here are close to a number of listed buildings and a conservation area, as well as plenty of shops, leisure and entertainment facilities. With all this and more, Cheam is a magnificent location.

  • The vibrant high street has a variety of offerings; there is a selection of speciality shops, jewellers, banks, beauticians, a pharmacy, restaurants and two small supermarkets. There is also a library and a cinema for those who want to be entertained by words or pictures.

  • With a number of listed buildings, Cheam has an engaging history. The Lumley Chapel is an Anglican church which has been designated as a World Heritage Site. In addition, Whitehall, sat in the heart of Cheam, is a timber framed Tudor house. Now an accredited museum, this 16th Century building is also home to a delightful tea room.
  • Adjacent to Cheam sit two large parks; Nonsuch Park and Cheam Park, each of which are an ideal setting for a leisurely stroll. The palatial Nonsuch Mansion resides in the centre of Nonsuch Park and the cafe located next to it serves a variety of refreshments. Also close to Cheam is Mayfield Lavender Field in Banstead. This is a family run, certified organic lavender farm sat in 25 acres of land; during the summer months, it is highly recommended to wander through a sea of the organic lavender.
