Retirement apartments in high demand in Bristol

Retirement living is thriving in Bristol according to housebuilder Churchill Retirement Living as it announces there are just the final few properties remaining at two of its developments across the county.

Grange Lodge in Portishead and Sapphire Lodge in Nailsea both now have only three properties remaining.  Deborah Waldeck, Regional Marketing Executive at Churchill Retirement Living, comments: “Each of these developments have appealed to a wide range of people, from those who have relocated to be near Bristol’s many attractions; to local retirees keen to take advantage of the benefits offered by retirement living, and have made the move so they can relax and enjoy their retirement years.

“Both of these Lodges have a great community atmosphere with quiz and games afternoons, weekly coffee mornings and film clubs amongst just some of the social events that take place. They offer the perfect choice for anyone looking for a safe, secure, low maintenance property to downsize to.”

Each of the Lodges has been specially designed for the over 60s with features such as a video-entry system, lift to all floors, a 24 hour care and support system and a Lodge Manager. Communal facilities include an Owners’ Lounge, Guest Suite and landscaped gardens.  At Grange Lodge there is a communal laundry room whilst at Sapphire Lodge there is a washing machine in each apartment. The developments are conveniently located in town centres, close to the local shops and amenities, and are well served by public transport.

Grange Lodge on St Peters Road in Portishead has three one-bedroom apartments remaining. Each comes with carpets, curtains and light fittings included with prices starting from £252,950.  At Sapphire Lodge on Christchurch Close in Nailsea, there are two one-bedroom apartments available priced from £276,950 and one two-bedroom apartment priced at £387,950.

Deborah adds: “We are delighted to have helped so many people find their perfect spot to retire to in Bristol. Having already proved popular thanks to their ideal locations and ease of moving, we expect demand to be high for our final apartments, so would urge anyone thinking of making a move to come and talk to us today to avoid missing out.”
