After deciding to downsize from a 3 bedroom bungalow, Rob Beck chose Churchill’s Eliot Lodge in Ashbourne for its added safety, relaxed lifestyle and peace of mind.
He recalls: “Having seen the location where the apartments were being built with all the local amenities close by I came to the conclusion this could be right for me. I received an invitation from Churchill to attend the open day and after listening to what was said and talking to the Sales people who were very helpful I reserved my apartment.
“I sold my bungalow through Churchill's Selling Made Easy scheme who handled everything for me, so no hassle for me getting in touch with estate agents or chasing them up etc. My property sold within 8 days. Following on from that I got downsizing help and advice with the move and everything went smoothly, up to and including having free removals with the firm doing all the packing for me, I just sat back and watched!
“The Sales Ladies kept me fully informed with the progress of my apartment including visits when appropriate and they have been brilliant. My roomy apartment is finished to a high standard with all the appliances you need included.”
Now Rob has a lifestyle that is as easy as he wants it to be. He says: “From meeting fellow Owners for a chat or the coffee mornings, games afternoons and the quiz nights followed by more chat and drinks, it’s great. Or you can relax in the garden on a nice day enjoying the sunshine.
“During the lockdown whilst it has not been easy you still can catch a chat in passing with other Owners and see more people, which is more than I would have been able to do if I had stayed in my bungalow, and not forgetting we have a Lodge Manager to call upon with any problems or for just a chat.”
