Val sticks with Churchill for her move to Carshalton’s Laurel Lodge

Val Everett knew what she’d be getting when she moved to Churchill Retirement Living’s Laurel Lodge development in Carshalton, because she had already experienced the benefits of the retirement living lifestyle at her previous Churchill apartment in Rickmansworth. When looking to relocate for family reasons, she just had to choose Churchill again, and she is pleased she did.

Val explains: “My reason for moving to Carshalton was that my daughter was moving to Wallington, meaning she had no family here and I had no-one near me at my previous home in Rickmansworth. Having been very happy at Churchill’s Middlemarch Lodge development there, I just knew that I could not go back to ‘ordinary’ living, as I loved the friendship and company of people similar to me. It was a no-brainer to continue living in a Churchill Lodge, and fortunately Laurel Lodge was the perfect solution.”

She adds: “The best thing about my apartment is the view outside, the trees and birds are amazing and the Lodge is an oasis of peace in a busy local area. It is also interesting getting to know so many other people who live here, something you probably would not do in ‘ordinary’ living. The Lodge is quite large so there are lots of different people here to socialise with whenever I want to.”

Having enjoyed the benefits of retirement living at two separate Churchill developments, Val also has some sound advice for others who may be thinking about it, adding: “To anyone else who is considering a move to Laurel Lodge I would say take that leap, it will be worth it!”
