Competition winner announced after naming development in Princes Risborough

A local resident is celebrating after being announced as the lucky winner of a competition to name Churchill Retirement Living’s new development on Aylesbury Road in Princes Risborough.

Lorna Reed, who has lived locally for more than 50 years, was presented with a cheque for £100 at a naming ceremony for the new Chiltern Lodge development, located in the heart of the market town.

Mrs Reed said: “I saw the competition advertised and thought of a number of names but decided to settle on Chiltern Lodge. We’re surrounded by the Chiltern Hills here so it felt apt. I’m thrilled to have won!”

Yvette Christy, regional marketing executive at Churchill Retirement Living, said: “At Churchill, we like to involve the local community in choosing the names for our developments and we often do so by running a competition asking for suggestions. We received a vast number of entries for the new Princes Risborough development and we are pleased to have awarded Mrs Reed with her winning cheque.”

Chiltern Lodge, which is currently under construction, will comprise 36 private, self-contained apartments that are specially designed for the over 60s with features such as a video-entry system, lift to all floors, a 24 hour care and support system and a Lodge Manager. Communal facilities will include an Owners’ Lounge, Guest Suite and landscaped gardens.

Like all Churchill Retirement Living Developments, the location has been chosen for convenience and is within easy walking distance of the wide selection of shops and amenities in Princes Risborough.

Chiltern Lodge is due to launch in February 2018. For more information or to register your interest, please call 0800 458 1847 or click here.
