About the role

We are recruiting for a talented, ambitious and forward thinking Architect to join our design team in our Eastern Region, based in our St Albans office.

It’s a fast paced, unique role working alongside our in-house land buyers, town planners, architectural technicians, surveyors, construction team and sales and marketing executives.  You will provide a professional design service assisting with all matters relating to the purchase of land and achieving planning consents for retirement living developments. You will have a high degree of responsibility and autonomy and you’ll see a number of your designs built each year.

This role would suit an individual who not only has a passion for design but wants to increase their understanding of the development world. The pieces of land we identify are in town centre locations and are often highly constrained requiring both a creative and commercial design approach to make them viable.

A good knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop and Sketchup are desirable as is the ability to write analytical supporting documents required for planning such as Design and Assess Statements. This position would suit ‘hands-on’ Individuals who want to design great developments and are also capable of producing planning / presentation drawings and written documents to a high standard.
