Peaceful and beautiful surroundings – what could be nicer than Devon?
With two separate and distinctive coastlines, north and south, two wild and beautiful moorlands, Exmoor and Dartmoor, and the delightful, historic cities of Exeter and Plymouth, Devon has a lot more to it than meets the eye.
There are sleepy lanes with a slow pace of life, beautiful landscapes where you’ll definitely see more livestock than people, and tiny villages with just a shop and a pub if you’re lucky!
There are also lively market towns like Honiton, noted for local produce, traditional crafts and a friendly welcome. You’ll find traditional seaside resorts like Ilfracombe and Torquay, popular for holidays since Victorian times and retaining a real flavour of the past. There are historic attractions aplenty, with splendid castles at Okehampton and Totnes, and the charms of Clovelly.
Getting around is easy – the M5 motorway runs north from Exeter, there are rail services throughout the county and Exeter International Airport offers domestic and international flights.
But the main appeal of life in Devon is that it is just so relaxing – which is just what you deserve!
