In 2015, we launched the Churchill Foundation
Churchill Retirement Living is well known for its charity work and giving something back is a fundamental part of what we believe in. So in 2015 we set up the Churchill Foundation to bring all our fundraising efforts under one banner and build on the work we already do.
The Churchill Foundation is a registered charitable trust, with Dame Esther Rantzen DBE as its Patron. Its aim is to transform people’s lives through investment in three key areas:
- The relief of sickness, disease and human suffering
- The promotion of health amongst the elderly
- The support and wellbeing of the young
To do this we seek support for our mission from as many people as possible, including Churchill Retirement Living and Millstream Management Services employees, our Owners, business partners and the local community.
Our three Charity Partners for 2018
- The Silver Line
- Walking with the Wounded
- Hope for Food
We also have a Small Grants Programme to support smaller local charities with donations of up to £2,000. Since the Foundation launched in 2015 this has already helped us support several smaller charities including Friends of PICU, John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation, Bolton Hospice and Moordown St John’s Primary School Swimming Pool Appeal.
To date, this Churchill Foundation has raised over £800,000 with money going towards these valuable causes.
The Churchill Foundation is a registered charitable incorporated organisation (charity number 1164320).
