Retirement living explained
It's understandable that you may have some questions and some uncertainty about what retirement living is and whether it is the right option for you. At Churchill Retirement Living we offer more than just a new home - we offer a whole lifestyle.
Designed with our Owners in mind, our retirement apartments offer a comfortable, secure place to live, with the option to socialise with other Owners as much or as little as you like.
Getting older can often mean that the family home outgrows us and the constant maintenance is simply too much work. This is when retirement living becomes a viable option. Over 60s can enjoy an independent, active retirement without the worry of the maintenance and upkeep of a large family home.
You will be able to do all the things you used to do; the difference is that you will have everything you need practically on your doorstep, with the additional peace of mind that any exterior work, gardening or bigger jobs are taken care of. At Churchill Retirement Living we take care to ensure our developments are well-located, close to the local shops, near the town centre and in easy reach of all the essential amenities including local transport.
Churchill Retirement Living offers independent living options for over 60s who want to enjoy their retirement while still leading an active, independent lifestyle. You can have your family and friends to stay, bring small pets with you when you move and even continue to do your own shopping and cooking.
Loneliness is an epidemic in the UK and we are working hard to counteract this and ensure people are not living with loneliness. Our developments frequently run organised activities that you can take part in if you want, so that you can interact with other Owners and ensure you keep loneliness at bay.
Churchill Retirement Living developments have a range of facilities that are available exclusively for Owners. The security features give you peace of mind, while the Lodge Managers are responsible for the running of our developments.
Our Lodges also have communal areas including Owners' Lounges, Coffee Bars, Roof Terraces and landscaped gardens. Some of our developments even have Wellbeing Suites and Fitness Suites, kitted out with facilities for beauty therapies, hairdressing and exercise.
The Guest Suite is found in all of our developments and can be booked in advance for family or friends to stay in. There is also a lift to all floors, so you don't need to worry about climbing the stairs. The facilities have been designed with you in mind, offering you a relaxing, independent and enjoyable retirement.
In each of our developments you'll find a 24 hour emergency Careline system. Our developments also have camera entry systems installed and intruder alarms are fitted to every front door. Ground floor apartments also have sensors fitted throughout the apartment.
Fire and smoke detection systems are fitted as standard in all apartments and throughout the communal areas, while repairs and maintenance are covered by the service charge.
You may be struggling to decide if retirement living is right for you, but the decision might be easier than you think. If you already lead an independent, busy lifestyle but are starting to find the pressures of maintaining your home a bit much, retirement living is an ideal option.
Churchill Retirement Living developments are designed for independent people who are perhaps looking for a simpler, less stressful lifestyle.
