Simon Jupp MP visits new Sidford retirement development

Local MP Simon Jupp visited Churchill Retirement Living’s new Lockyer Lodge development in Sidford this week to see how the new apartments will benefit local retirees and the wider community. Members of the Churchill team gave him an exclusive tour of the site, where construction is nearing completion with the first Owners set to move in later this year.

Churchill’s Regional Managing Director James Barnes said:

We were delighted that Mr Jupp was able to visit the site and get a taste of what the Churchill lifestyle is all about. Our private one and two bedroom apartments will offer security, peace of mind and independent living, along with community and support, and we’ve already seen lots of interest from local over 60s keen to find out more about how they can benefit from what we offer. At the moment buyers can also save money thanks to the Government’s temporary Stamp Duty holiday.

Simon Jupp MP added: “We need more options for people who might wish to downsize as they get older and retirement properties like those at Churchill’s new Lockyer Lodge are a big part of helping to meet that challenge. I really enjoyed seeing the site as it’s being built and look forward to visiting when residents move in within the next few months.”

Churchill’s new Lockyer Lodge development will comprise 40 privately owned, self-contained apartments specially designed for the over 60s. Offering quality retirement accommodation and safe and independent living, the development is in a convenient location close to local shops and amenities, with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
