Construction starts on new Churchill development in Nailsea

Retirees in Somerset can now register their interest in Churchill Retirement Living’s new development, coming soon to Nailsea.

Construction is now underway at the development on Christchurch Close, which once complete, will comprise 30 private, self-contained one and two bedroom apartments that are specially designed for the over 60s.

The apartments will include features such as a video-entry system, lift to all floors and a 24 hour care and support system. In addition, communal facilities include an Owners’ Lounge, Guest Suite and landscaped gardens.

The development is located in the historic town of Nailsea, which has a thriving and well maintained town centre, where there is a market every Tuesday. There is plenty to do and for nature lovers a visit to Stockway Nature Reserve is a must.

Martin Young, Regional MD at Churchill Retirement Living South West, comments: “With more than 11.1 million people in the UK aged 65 or over, we believe better provision of housing for older people and the need to ensure there are sufficient, good quality retirement living options to meet the needs of an ageing population is an absolute priority.

“Our properties offer security, peace of mind and independent living, along with community and support.  Being in a manageable home with no maintenance can offer a new lease of life for people – ensuring they are close to amenities, and surrounded by a new community.  We are delighted to be bringing a new development to Nailsea and have already seen lots of interest from local over 60s keen to find out more about the benefits of retirement living.

“Anyone interested in finding out more about what a Churchill Retirement Living development can offer can register their interest now to be kept updated on the progress of the site and be amongst the first to find out when the first apartments will be released for sale.”
