Festive VIP enjoys a treat at Lewis Carroll Lodge in Cheltenham

Local retiree Colin Bowen received a Christmas gift to remember when he was selected as guest of honour at Churchill Retirement Living’s recent Festive Cheer event at Lewis Carroll Lodge in Cheltenham.

Colin was nominated as a ‘Festive VIP’ by Colleagues at the development who felt that he deserved a treat this Christmas. The event on Tuesday 19th December was attended by apartment Owners and guests, who enjoyed festive food and drink and a fantastic performance from Dunalley Primary School’s ‘Countdown to Christmas’ Choir. Colin was also presented with a festive hamper and £100 M&S voucher to mark the occasion.

Churchill’s ‘Festive Cheer’ initiative had asked people up and down the country to nominate someone who deserved to be rewarded for their commitment to volunteering or charity work this year, or someone who is lonely or has faced some hard times, or simply a loved one who deserves to be spoiled this Christmas.

Bernadette Hennelly, Marketing Manager at Churchill, said: “Our Festive Cheer events were designed to spread some seasonal magic, and we’re delighted to have done that for Colin here in Cheltenham. We’d also like to say a big thank you to the Dunalley Primary School’s Countdown to Christmas Choir for a wonderful festive performance which everyone thoroughly enjoyed!”
