Specialist housebuilder Churchill Retirement Living held a national Land Conference on Wednesday 1 November to support its ambitious land acquisition plans over the coming years.
The Company’s new Land & Planning Director, Andrew Burgess, has been working closely with Chairman & CEO Spencer McCarthy to develop the retirement living developer’s national land buying strategy. He will spearhead a national land buying campaign over the coming years to support the Group’s long term growth plans, looking to acquire up to 60 sites in the next 18 months alone.
The Company’s first Land Conference took place at Victoria Square in Birmingham and was attended by around 100 land agents, surveyors and property industry professionals. Attendees learned about Churchill’s land buying requirements, the special characteristics of its sector, and how the Company is looking to build long term relationships with key land buying partners across the country.
With many years of experience in the retirement sector, Churchill has developed specific criteria for sites in the right locations, and can therefore react quickly and efficiently to new site leads. Churchill already has over 100 developments throughout the country, all located on brownfield sites of between 0.4 and 1.5 acres, within easy walking distance of town centre shops and amenities and good public transport links.
