Construction Starts on new development in Henleaze, Bristol

Retirees in Bristol can now register their interest in Churchill Retirement Living’s new development, coming soon to Henleaze.

Construction is now underway at the development on Eastfield Road, which once complete, will comprise 33 private, self-contained one and two bedroom apartments that are specially designed for the over 60s.

The apartments will include features such as a video-entry system, lift to all floors and a 24 hour care and support system. In addition, communal facilities include an Owners’ Lounge, Guest Suite and landscaped gardens.

The development is located in the ancient village of Henleaze, just a couple of miles from the City of Bristol. The River Trym meanders through the area and the village offers a good choice of supermarkets, shopping, restaurants and other local amenities, which are all within walking distance of the development.

Martin Young, Regional MD at Churchill Retirement Living South West, comments: “With more than 11.1 million people in the UK aged 65 or over, we believe better provision of housing for older people and the need to ensure there are sufficient, good quality retirement living options to meet the needs of an ageing population is an absolute priority.

“Our properties offer security, peace of mind and independent living, along with community and support.  Being in a manageable home with no maintenance can offer a new lease of life for people – ensuring they are close to amenities, and surrounded by a new community.  We are delighted to be bringing a new development to Henleaze and have already seen lots of interest from local over 60s keen to find out more about the benefits of retirement living.

“Anyone interested in finding out more about what a Churchill Retirement Living development can offer can register their interest now to be kept updated on the progress of the site and be amongst the first to find out when the  apartments will be released for sale.”
